TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set

This nationally recognised Assessor Skill Set provides the required assessor competencies under the Standards for RTOs 2025. It covers the core units of competency from the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment that are essential for conducting valid and reliable assessment in the VET sector.

Designed for both school teachers delivering VET in Schools and staff working in RTOs, this program ensures you meet compliance requirements while gaining practical skills to design, conduct, and validate assessments.

Delivery Methods

Live Interactive Classes (via MS Teams or Face-to-Face)

  • Delivered over three consecutive days (8:30am – 4:30pm, QLD time).
  • Additional self-paced activities are required following the live sessions, with ongoing support provided by trainers.
  • Can’t see your location listed? We can come to your area or deliver an in-house course at your school

Self-Paced Option

  • Suitable for participants unable to attend live classes.
  • Students progress through the content independently, with structured guidance and support available from trainers.

Unit Requirements for Self-Paced Study

  • TAEDES411 and TAEASS412 may be completed entirely in a self-paced format.
  • TAEASS413 may be completed in a self-paced format where access to a qualified VET practitioner with the TAE is available. This unit requires:
    • 3 pre-implementation assessment validations
    • 3 post-implementation assessment validations
    • 3 moderations
